NBA star Anthony Edwards has been fined $100,000 by the league for using ‘profane language’ during an interview following the Minnesota Timberwolves win over the Houston Rockets on Friday night.
During Edwards’ on-court interview, the Team USA guard says the phrase ‘F*** it’ and uttered ‘s***’ twice in the span of about 10 seconds.
This is the seventh time Edwards has been fined in his NBA career and the fourth time this season, leading to the amount skyrocketing for using the cuss words.
‘All I knew was the play was for (Julius Randle) to go 14, a big-small pick and roll,’ Edwards said. ‘Once he picked it up, I got to go get it, s***. And (Nickeil Alexander-Walker) found me, he cut me off. I’m like “S***, I’m going for the win.” Like Gilbert Arenas said, “I don’t do overtime” so f*** it!’
It is also Edwards second fine of the week, as he was docked $75,000 on Monday for publicly criticizing officials.
The $100,000 amount is the maximum fine allowed by league rules.

Two weeks ago, Edwards was fined $25,000, also for cussing during an interview.
The large amount Edwards owes outraged some fans for only using cuss words.
‘Soft league,’ one NBA fan said.
‘100k for saying the truth?’
‘The nba cannot really be this soft.’
Last month, Edwards gave the middle finger to fans in Sacramento, leading to a $35,000 fine from the NBA.
That incident took place after he’d been arguing with officials over a foul call. A frustrated Edwards was returning to the bench when he appeared to hear something from the crowd and reacted with a hand gesture.
