This is the shocking moment a top South African TV boss hurls her drink at a flight attendant before removing her own wig and tussling with other passengers.
Phone footage from the FlySafair flight from Durban to Cape Town, on Boxing Day, shows the passenger arguing furiously with the stewardess while backed into a window seat.
As the attendant approaches the TV executive with plastic hand restraints while telling her to ‘listen to me’, the passenger can be seen yelling back before grabbing the ties and throwing them over the seat.
But the mid-air bust up quickly began to spiral when a traveller sitting behind the unruly passenger reaches over in a bid to help the stewardess restrain her.
The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Brand Manager shuffles around in her seat, telling the pair ‘you can not do this’ before launching her drink into the face of the flight attendant.
Sounds of shock and disbelief echo around the aircraft and the clip cuts to the moment the passenger rises from her seat and shoves another stewardess away while yelling: ‘Back off, back off’.
The pushing evolves into a chaotic flight, involving multiple passengers who are attempting to push the telly exec back down into her seat.
Two male passengers finally manage to grab a hold of her wrists as the stewardess battles to attach the restraints to her.

Passengers could be seen trying to shove the woman back into her seat after she went on a dramatic rant
But the FlySafair staff member emerges unsuccessful when the TV manager again stands up from her seat, shouting: ‘Who are you?’ to the passengers seated behind her.
Then, in a bizarre twist, the furious flyer rips off her blonde wig while continuing her dramatic rant from her chair.
A man seated next to her can be heard telling the passengers behind them to stop touching her, while also repeatedly demanding the woman to ‘calm down’.
Her tirade seems to eventually come to an end as she sits back down in her seat after handing the restraints back to the flight attendant – but has one last fiery snap at the worker before she sits back down.
The chaos reportedly erupted when flight crew refused to serve the passenger with any more alcohol.
According to News24, a South African news website, the passenger was arrested and charged for disruptive and riotous behaviour on board the flight.
She was handed over to police when the plane landed in Cape Town.
But speaking to the news outlet, the passenger denied claims she was under the influence of alcohol when she boarded the flight, stating that she and her boyfriend were traveling to Cape Town for New Year’s Eve.

‘We had checked in and then decided to go to the slow lounge, and then at the slow lounge, we ate quickly, and we had one drink, which was the whiskey,’ she said.
‘We [realised] that we were running late, then we went and boarded the plane. When we got inside the plane, I was not drunk, I was sober as a judge’.
She claims the altercation was sparked when the cabin crew cam round to offer refreshments.
According to the passenger, she had asked the stewardess what kind of cool drinks they had, but when the worker said they didn’t have two of her choices, the flyer said that the crew member began to ‘get annoyed with me’.
The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) says they have received a full report from the airline which will be used for further investigations, according to South African newspaper the Daily Voice.
SACAA director of aviation Poppy Khoza condemned the incident and said passengers who assault, threaten, intimidate or interfere with cabin crew members are in violation of the Civil Aviation Act, and if found guilty, could face up to six months in jail.
Local media has reported that the passenger is now planning to sue the airline.
Following the incident, FlySafair spokesperson Kirby Gorden said: ‘We condemn any behaviour of this nature.
‘Flight attendants have a primary duty as safety officers and interfering with their duties is a criminal offence.
‘This passenger will be placed on our no-fly list and will not be welcome on future FlySafair flights.’
