Ivanka Trump posted photos from a tropical Christmas vacation getaway on Tuesday indicating she was not missing politics as her father prepares to enter the White House again.
‘Feeling an abundance of gratitude this Christmas Eve,’ Ivanka Trump wrote, posting an image of her standing in the shadow of trees on an unknown shell covered beach, holding a wide-brimmed sun hat.
Trump’s 43-year-old daughter also shared an image of her reading a book at the beach day earlier.
‘Cyberpunk sci-fi at its best!’ she wrote, sharing a picture of a copy of The Diamond Age book by Neal Stephenson.
Trump’s daughter does not appear to miss politics, even as her father stormed back from his 2020 election loss to emerge as President-elect in 2024, defeating President Joe Biden who dropped out of the race after his first debate and defeating Vice President Kamala Harris.
Ivanka Trump, who joined her father at the White House in 2017, opted against returning to the 2024 campaign and coming back to Washington, D.C., with her family.
She spoke about her experience with politics in a July interview with podcaster Lex Fridman.
‘Politics is a pretty dark world. There’s a lot of darkness, a lot of negativity and it’s really at odds with what feels good for me as a human being. It’s a really rough business,’ she said.
Ivanka Trump said she would remain outside of the political arena maintaining her private life with her family.
‘For me and my family it feels right to not participate,’ she said at the time.
Trump asserted she would still be engaged publicly by volunteering to help people in need, even as she maintains her private life at her and her husband Jared Kushner‘s $24 million Florida mansion on Indian Creek Island.
Ivanka continues sharing updates from her life on Instagram, sharing charitable efforts and her travels.
Earlier this month she posted a picture of herself posing with a flamingo.

After Trump won reelection, Ivanka Trump was at Mar-a-Lago for her father’s victory celebration as she stood on the stage with her husband, Jared Kushner and Usha Vance, the wife of vice presidential elect U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).
Ivanka also made a rare public appearance with her father at the New York Stock Exchange earlier this month as he rang the opening bell.

Ivanka Trump also has a passion for jiu jitsu, as her entire family now takes classes with the Valente Brothers in Miami.
‘For me, there’s something really empowering, knowing that I have some basic skills to defend myself. I think it’s something, as humans, we’ve kind of gotten away from,’ she told Fridman.
Ivanka Trump shared a detailed list of things she wanted to do in life with Fridman, including the goal of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, earning her black belt in martial arts, and even one day traveling to the moon.
‘I’d love to go to space. Not just space. I think I’d love to go to the moon,’ she said.
