A Missouri doomsday prepper who spent a $350,000 to prepare for the end of the world says she can finally ‘take a break’ following Trump’s presidential victory.
Rowan MacKenzie, 40, has spent the last 13 years taking extreme measures in anticipation for societal collapse – spending a staggering $350,000 on emergency supplies and weapons and admitting to having a secret bunker built inside her basement.
But her fears have morphed into hope after Trump’s landslide victory against Kamala Harris on Tuesday.
‘He’s what is best for America, as he is going to bring us out of the darkness and save us all,’ she told What’s The Jam.
‘For many preppers, his return signifies potential changes in domestic policies and global tensions that will decrease the need for rushed stockpiling,’ she added.
Rowan MacKenzie, 40, of Missouri, also known as the ‘doomsday prepper’, feels as though she can ‘take a break’ from preparing for the end of the world following Trump’s victory
After Trump’s landslide victory against Kamala Harris on Tuesday, MacKenzie believes that his win will ‘save us all’ because of his ‘hero’ attitude
‘And while America is still very much at risk for wars and natural disasters, as that will never go away, it means we can take somewhat of a break.’
MacKenzie, who is a ‘die-hard Trump supporter’, has previously made national headlines for her elaborate preparation habits and hidden bunker tours.
The 40-year-old began stocking up her cupboards 13 years ago – initially buying lifelong essentials such as beans and rice, which she taught herself to preserve through trial and error.
As her stock grew, the homemaker spent more than $10,000 on having the underground space built into the basement of her home, where she keeps food and water, as well as a stash of weapons in case things turn violent.
In the beginning of 2024, MacKenzie said that her bunker door will remain closed to anyone outside her home – including family.
‘I’ve always said that if you didn’t help build it, then hard decisions will have to be made,’ she said.

She would initially stick to buying lifelong essentials, such as beans and rice, which she taught herself to preserve through trial and error
‘My door won’t be open to anyone, family or not, as I’ve prepared for my own home. I feel bad, but hard times call for hard knocks – and a harsh reality.’
‘I’m preparing, as a whole, for war, inflation, nuclear disaster, and all out chaos,’ she said in January of this year, while also noting of her plan to build a second bunker in case one is compromised.
She claims most of her stockpile won’t expire for another 25 years and it’s all thanks to her ‘flawless’ rotation system to ensure there’s little-to-no wastage.
‘The price of everything has gone up so much and I need to ready myself, as well as my family, for any disaster situation,’ she added.
But MacKenzie, who describes the future commander-in-chief as ‘an amazing human being’, now expects four years of peace and prosperity for the American people once he officially returns to the Oval Office.
The mother-of-three also believes that the economy will thrive under a Republican administration – so much so that others can begin prepping as well.
The mother does not often show off her weapons on TikTok, however she has multiple guns in her possession (seen in cases), as well as ammunition in case ‘things get violent’
Although MacKenzie feels safer with Trump in office, she still believes in the importance of preparation and believes that the economy under a Republican administration will lead to all Americans being able to prep
‘We’ll see people actually able to afford to feed their families again, leaving time and extra money to prepare, as well as save resources for their households,’ she told What’s The Jam.
‘If the Democrats got in, the economy would’ve continued to decline,’ she added.
‘But I know that now he’s in office, this will become a lot more accessible for people who want to do it, but weren’t able to.’
And although MacKenzie plans to take a break from her rushed stockpiling habit due to Trump’s ‘hero’ attitude, she still believes in the importance of preparation.
But for the next four years, she’ll feel safer.
‘I am so grateful Trump has won, and I know a large majority of Americans are as well,’ she told What’s The Jam.
‘Although he has made some mistakes, his love for our country has never faltered – and I know he won’t let us down.’
