A ‘sleep mask‘ is the talk of beauty circles this month thanks to its instant ‘awakening’ effect after just one night of use.
The Bright Nights Sleep Mask by Aussie brand Airyday is just $37 and claims to brighten and exfoliate the skin, leaving it super smooth and radiant almost instantly.
Used either overnight or as a rinse-off treatment before bed once or twice a week, the gel mask uses a combination of Hyaluronic acid and AHAs to encourage cell renewal and a glowing effect.
Described as ‘pillow-proof’ and a ‘PM wonder woman’, the bouncy mask also uses Glycolic, Lactic and Lactobionic Acid to help remove the buildup of dead skin cells and glycerin to keep skin hydrated for optimal function.
Glycolic acid is known to boost collagen production for softer, smoother skin while Lactobionic acid works to exfoliate and draw moisture to the skin.

It’s perfect for all skin types and treats dead skin build up, lacklustre tone and signs of ageing.
Alternatively, the brand’s popular Night Rain Sleep Mask, $37, uses more moisture-loaded ingredients like Vitamin C and E and peptides to treat dehydrated, dry and sun-stressed skin.
‘Love this night mask. Glides onto my face and I can feel my skin absorbing it up. In the morning my face is so smooth and soft. Skin does look brighter. Very happy,’ one customer wrote.
‘Fantastic product, dries on skin so doesn’t rub off on pillow. Skin looks brighter a refreshed,’ another added.

‘I was looking for something easy to use and gentle on my temperamental skin and this product has been just that – thanks Airday! Would highly recommend.’
Airyday founder Frances van der Velden started the suncare brand after a skin cancer diagnosis when she was 36.
She was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) in late August 2020 after a ‘blind bump’ appeared on her left temple along the hairline.
She attempted scratching off the ‘annoying’ bump several times, but it persisted and never healed. It wasn’t until her hairdresser and mother-in-law urged her to get the spot checked that she visited her doctor.

‘As someone who thrives on predictability, rational thinking and doesn’t tend to get emotional – I was left in shock. I was overwhelmed with anger, sadness and a million questions. Why me? I am still young, and I used sun protection, didn’t I?’ She said.
‘But I had to be honest with myself; I rarely wore sunscreen as much as I thought and claimed I had. Wearing it only at the beach, pool or a day out ‘enjoying’ the sun, cliché sunny moments where we are encouraged to apply sun protection, I realised I hate sunscreen. I couldn’t stand the smell, the stickiness, thickness and felt it did more harm to my skin than good.’
So, after an all-clear from her dermatologist and a new-found desire to create something she actually wanted to wear daily, Airyday was born – along with their hero product, Golden Glow Dreamscreen.
