SONIA’S MORNING AND EVENING BEAUTY ROUTINE
Morning
Sonia keeps her regime simple. She washes her face in warm water before applying a moisturiser with an SPF in it and a touch of Revitaleyes which she says ‘removes any post-sleep puffiness’.
She then uses a BB Blur Skin Tint with probiotics and applies Three Warriors Face Tan aqua mist ($32.95) for a little extra ‘sunless glow up’.
‘I don’t wear a lot of makeup when I’m not working so the BB Blur is a beautiful skin tint with probiotics which gives me hint of colour and I always use a lip balm or tinted lipstick from Mecca for hydration,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘For television we tend to use a lot of priming products like MAC Studio Fix ($64) or Prep and Prime ($50) to control shine followed by a full coverage foundation. Cream blush is beautiful as it adds a dewy quality and one of my favourites is Blush Please ($55).
‘It’s important makeup stays put so products like Stila Stay all Day waterproof eye liner ($24) and pencils are a must.’

Evening
In the evening – especially after a long day on set – she cleans her face thoroughly with an oil-based pre-cleanse followed by Bioderma Micellar Water ($29.99), a final gentle cleanse with warm water, night face solutions and a touch of lip balm.
Sonia says hair masks are just as important as skin masks so she tries to use the Aveda Intensive Strengthening Masque ($91) at least once a week to give her hair some love.
‘A leave in conditioner like Unite 75 Seconds Detangler ($34) is also great for hair that’s been tortured by summer swims and sun,’ Sonia said.
Gadgets and Treatments
‘As far as gadgets go I really like the Apple Watch because it records your activity, heart rate and sleep – it’s also a reality check for those days you’ve spent a little too much time on the couch watching TV,’ Sonia said.
When it comes to professional treatments there is one that came to mind immediately.
‘I have tried Laser Genesis as it’s good for skin conditions like Rosacea, and has little to no downtime,’ she said. To maintain it and remain budget-friendly she turns to the Wrinkle Freeze for an at-home alternative.
Performed by a professional, Laser Genesis takes between 15 and 60 minutes and targets a range of skin issues including uneven skin texture, large pores, acne and scarring. It typically costs between $250 and $450.
‘My day on a plate actually starts with a double flat white coffee. I am not a big breakfast person and my first meal of the day is usually lunch,’ she said
SONIA’S DIET AND EXERCISE ROUTINE
Diet
Sonia drinks as much water as she can every day, skips breakfast and isn’t afraid of a treat meal – especially during the festive season.
‘My day on a plate actually starts with a double flat white coffee. I am not a big breakfast person and my first meal of the day is usually lunch,’ she said.
‘I tend to aim for a healthy salad and then dinner is lean protein like chicken, turkey or fish and vegetables. I’ll admit dinner is occasionally is a blow out of a burger or pizza and Christmas Day all bets are off!’
Sonia has tried to cut out sugar as much as possible and limits her alcohol intake because ‘it’s better for our skin and overall health’.
Christmas will be a recharge period for Sonia, who is looking forward to some downtime with family and friends
‘As a rule I try to avoid sugar but every now and then I may accidentally take a packet of chocolate bullets to bed,’ she admitted.
‘I do find the less sugar and alcohol consumed the better your skin looks and feels.’

‘I’m heading off on a road trip into the great outdoors and will find the perfect spot on the beach,’ she said. I love a traditional Aussie Christmas day with prawns and pavlova but my absolute favourite thing is watching my daughter Maggie wake up in the morning excited to see what’s under the tree.’
Exercise Routine
‘I do something active each day whether it’s a walk with my dog Teddy or playing some tennis,’ Sonia said.
‘I also do my Strictly You online dance workout… it’s great for busy mums as you can do it in the privacy of your own home at any time.’
Sonia carefully considers brands she works with and freezeframe was a natural choice given it’s her ‘go-to’ in summer. ‘It’s like magic,’ she said
WHY FREEZEFRAME?
Sonia carefully considers brands she works with and freezeframe was a natural choice given it’s her ‘go-to’ in summer.
‘It’s a hectic time of year with so many gatherings with family and friends. I like that I can just put the mask on for 30 minutes before heading out and I’m ready to go. The effect is immediate – my skin is smoother and it has that really nice and natural summer glow,’ she said.
‘The heat tends to dry out my skin a bit so I find the coconut water in it is really hydrating. My favourite part is the ice-roller – it’s not only cooling but it instantly depuffs my skin and eyes and it feels great on your skin.
‘The results can last well into the next day and even up to 48 hours later. It’s a great product for anyone with a busy schedule who wants an at-home mask to smooth and leave skin glowing before a special event or just for some at home pampering.’
The brand, known for products providing clinically proven results, has launched a fresh category into the range that combines breakthrough technology with a built in ice roller for up to 82% smoother skin in just 30 minutes (customer pictured before and after 30 minutes)
