The team behind beauty brand tbh skincare were sent into a panic when their new product was accidentally leaked online by one of Australia’s most popular influencers – but the blunder worked in their favour.
Indy Clinton showed her 1.8million followers the Australian brand’s yet-to-be-released No Scrubs Jelly Cleanser in a TikTok video sending tbh fans into a spin.
tbh co-founder Rachael Wilde was forced to scrap all pre-arranged marketing plans and release the $32.95 cleanser days before the official launch as skincare lovers were eager to get their hands on the new buy.
Since the hasty release just nine days ago customers are snapping up one jelly cleanser every minute making it tbh skincare’s biggest launch to date.
The No Scrubs Jelly cleanser is designed to remove dirt, pollutants, grime and stubborn makeup from the skin leaving it feeling soft, hydrated and clean.

Indy, who won Australian TikTok Creator of the Year 2023, posted a video of her typical morning and showed her washing her face with the cleanser.
‘Oh, this is really cool. I just got it in the mail, it’s tbh skincare no scrubs,’ she said as she rubbed the cleanser between her fingers.
The clip quickly racked up 1.6million views with many spotting the gaffe.
‘Where is that face wash from?’ one viewer asked and another laughed: ‘Not you accidentally exposing the new skincare’.
‘The way the cleanser isn’t released yet hahaha,’ a third commented.
After the video dropped tbh skincare came clean about the cleanser’s release on TikTok with a hilarious video of one of the employees FaceTiming Wilde on a Sunday to break the news.
There is no bad blood between tbh skincare and Indy who said she feels bad for the mistake but applauded Wilde and her team for handling it like ‘legends’.
Wilde said she and her team had been sending the cleanser out to people, including Indy, to sample two weeks ahead of its official launch.

Wilde added it took her and her team a whole year to perfect the cleanser as they wanted to make sure the final version was ‘perfect’
‘Seeing Indy Clinton leak our product was truly crazy. First I was so excited to have her love our product so much and be using it but as people started tagging tbh we realised we had to pull the launch forward,’ she said.
‘Since launch, we have been inundated with people wanting to get their hands on the product – we have sped up production so we do not sell out and keep this available online and in-store at Priceline. I have personally visited a few stores and noticed it is currently selling quickly in store.’
Wilde added it took her and her team a whole year to perfect the cleanser as they wanted to make sure the final version was ‘perfect’.
‘We wanted to make sure we got the product just right – a makeup remover that transforms from jelly to milk, as your first step in your PM routine!’ she said.
‘Seeing Indy use the new jelly cleanser to remove her makeup was a pinch myself moment.’
