Australian makeup fans have revealed the ‘best’ lip balm on the market – and thousands claim it kept their pout plump and hydrated for 24 hours.
A shopper recently said she is so ‘obsessed’ with the Kylie Skin Lip Butter ($31) available at Mecca that she wanted to ‘gatekeep’ the beauty buy from everyone else.
Aussies have recently been struggling with dry lips in winter, with many struggling to find long-lasting lip balms.
‘I almost don’t want to post this, but I’m no gatekeeper,’ she said on a popular Facebook group. ‘If you’re looking for the best lip gloss/butter/oil – this is it!’
The shopper revealed that she has tried ‘almost every lip product on the market’ because she suffers from dry lips, and nothing has come close to the Kylie Skin buy.

‘I gave this a try while I was in America at the start of the year and it’s honestly the best. It’s shiny, glossy – not sticky, smells insane and lasts. The application is super dreamy too – so smooth. I’m absolutely addicted, and my lips feel like silk.’
The shopper even admitted it was ‘much better’ than other popular lip products people flock to including overnight lip masks.
While the shopper found her ‘perfect fit’ when it comes to lip balm, a few others were shocked at the high price and claimed budget buys work just as well.
‘Glad you found the one for you, but I’m using one that cost me $5 and I buy it from pharmacies. Survived -C in Europe and left with a silky smooth lips,’ one said, referring to the Oralife Peppermint Ointment.
Other beauty lovers have also raved about Kmart’s $3 lip oil and Aldi’s stunning range of $9.99 tinted lip glosses.
Kylie Skin’s Lip Butter is made using shea butter, cloudberry seed oil, and jojoba oil which help hydrate, condition, and soothe lips.
As the product has a soft white tint, it’s perfect to wear on its own or layer on top of other lipsticks or glosses.
Thousands of others have rated the buy five stars online and shared their opinions.
‘This is honestly the best! Love it so much. I bought three so I don’t run out – it’s that good!’ one said.
‘I absolutely love how the product just melts into the lips and leaves them nice and soft,’ another raved.

‘I have tried every single lip oil, gloss, and balm Mecca sells and this is where it’s at! I have super dry lips and am always picking them when stressed,’ a third wrote.
‘Not me sitting at my desk with three lip products within reach (Kosas Lip Fuel, Malin+Goetz, and Summer Fridays) and adding this to my cart,’ a shopper added.
While the Kylie Skin product is meant to be an overnight lip mask, you can also use it throughout the day in smaller amounts.
Despite popular opinion, a few were skeptical of its prowess.
‘Nope, nothing beats Laniege,’ one said.
‘The Summer Fridays lip balm is the best,’ another wrote.
