A conservative Trump ally who often makes cable news appearances announced the tragic passing of his child on Friday.
Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., shared that his 37-year-old daughter, Cosette Biggs-Finerd, recently passed away after suffering from cancer.
‘Earlier this week, our daughter Cosette lost her battle with cancer,’ Biggs posted on X Friday afternoon. ‘We are devastated by her passing, but take comfort knowing she is at peace with the Lord.’
‘We are grateful our family could gather together to spend her final days by her side. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and support.’
‘We are humbled by this great community and the outpouring of love for Cosette and our family,’ the Republican wrote.
According to the lawmaker’s website, he and his wife, Cindy, ‘have six children and are the grandparents of eleven grandchildren.’
Biggs-Finerd appeared to be the mother herself, often appearing in the congressman’s family pictures holding little ones.

‘So sorry for your loss, Andy,’ Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, posted. ‘This is such a profound loss, one that I wish you didn’t have to endure. Prayers and flowers coming your way.’
‘So sorry for your loss,’ Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said.
‘My deepest condolences during this time. Losing a child is something no parent should have to navigate. Our family will be lifting your family in prayer. May the peace and strength of our one true Lord Jesus be the rock of support in this difficult season,’ one wrote.

Biggs has served as the congressman for Arizona’s 5th district since 2016, an area sitting on the southeastern border of the state’s largest city, Phoenix.
He served as an attorney and regularly makes appearances on Fox News and other conservative channels like Newsmax.
The congressman was out of Washington, D.C., on Easter break when he shared the devastating loss.
