Disneyland Paris has finally given fans a sneak peek at what’s coming to the resort, as one of its two theme parks undergoes a huge transformation.
Walt Disney Studios is going to be renamed Disney Adventure World as it welcomes new Lion King, Frozen and Up attractions, as well as many other immersive worlds.
The park’s central lake will also be host to a nightly show using water screens, fountains, special effects and drone choreography.
The World of Frozen will open next year, where guests will be immersed in the Kingdom of Arendelle and get the chance to meet Anna, Elsa and Olaf.
And Disney has unveiled images showing the finishing touches being made to the area’s North Mountain, rising 36 metres above the ground.
A new Up-themed attraction is also coming to Disney Adventure World, making it the first time a Disney park has had a ride based on the heartwarming Pixar film.
Riders will board a flying carousel that will spin in the air, offering a bird’s-eye view of the park, making it feel like you’re floating up in the air, just like Carl and Russell in the film.
Construction on the ride will begin by the end of 2025, along with a nearby garden inspired by other animated films Tangled and Toy Story.

It’s the first time any Disney park in the world has opened an area dedicated to the much-loved Disney film.
The all-new attraction will blend a spectacular water experience with state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics® technology, making guests feel like they’re in the heart of the Pride Lands, where Simba will await them for an unforgettable adventure complete with iconic songs from the 1994 masterpiece.
After making their way to the caves beneath the 37-metre-high Pride Rock, guests will embark on a wondrous, touching, and sensational adventure through iconic scenes from the beloved animated movie, navigating a path with three exciting slopes, including an impressive 16-metre-high descent.
Michel Den Dulk, Vice President and Portfolio Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, said: ‘We are looking forward to launching the construction of this new immersive world inspired by The Lion King and its major attraction, which will mark another milestone for Disney Adventure World.
‘The main attraction will showcase the key features of Disney experiences: loveable characters, an unforgettable soundtrack, immersive décor and effects, and exciting thrills thoughtfully delivered throughout the adventure.

It comes after the news that James Bond, Lord of the Rings and Paddington are set to be among the first attractions at the UK’s new Universal theme park, opening in 2031.
