
California Gov. Gavin Newsom is hitting back at Donald Trump’s tariffs by threatening a major new lawsuit as the state is set to lose billions in revenue.
‘President Trump’s unlawful tariffs are wreaking chaos on California families, businesses, and our economy — driving up prices and threatening jobs,’ Newsom said in a statement.
‘We’re standing up for American families who can’t afford to let the chaos continue.’
California is the first to sue Trump over his tariffs shaking up the global economy.
Meanwhile, the president said Japan is coming to the White House today to try and strike a deal on tariffs as he touts ‘record numbers’ coming in.
