Airbnb has announced the holiday homes around the world that have driven TikTok wild – and a stunning UK treehouse, complete with a hot tub and sauna, is among the list.
In the ranking, made up of the properties that received the most likes on the social media website in 2024, there are also three in the USA.
You can even stay at a stunning mansion set on a ranch, across hundreds of acres, complete with its own cinema room and lazy river.
But that’s got nothing on the Airbnb that took the top spot.

8. Beautiful Cabin, San Julian, El Salvador – 160k likes, 51k saves, 33k shares
This cabin in San Julian, El Salvador, was the eighth-most-popular Airbnb listing of 2024 for TikTok users, receiving over 160,000 likes on the social media platform. Sat at the top of a lagoon, and surrounded by greenery, the beautiful one-bed property ‘allows guests to disconnect and have an unforgettable experience in nature,’ says Airbnb. Those who stay get access to a shared pool and hot tub, and can book kayaking, hiking and horseback riding with help from the owners. The property costs £65 a night
7. The Ellwood Box Hop, Rockbridge, Ohio, USA – 170k likes, 15k saves, 14k shares
A shipping container cabin built directly over a waterfall in Rockbridge, Ohio, USA, the Ellwood Box Hop has two double bedrooms, plus a decking, complete with hot tub. The vibrantly-decorated living room even has a glass floor, so those staying can get a birds-eye view of the water below. The property has had over 170,000 likes on TikTok, and one previous guest, Scott, said: ‘From our bed, (pictured), we saw fresh snow covering the ravine and fields—a view that exceeded all expectations. The thoughtful design, with huge windows overlooking the ravine, made it feel like we were immersed in nature.’ The property costs £238 a night
6. Oregon Treehouse Getaway, Dallas, Oregon, USA – 239k likes, 16k saves, 9k shares
The Oregon Treehouse Getaway, overlooking a pond in Dallas, Oregon, USA, has received over 239,000 likes on TikTok. 5. The Owl’s Nest, East Allington, UK – 287k likes, 38k saves, 59k shares
The most popular UK listing with TikTok users was The Owl’s Nest in East Allington, which received over 287,000 likes. Nestled in a woodland in South Devon, the unique treehouse getaway – rated five stars on Airbnb – has a hot tub (pictured) and sauna with views into the forest. It’s also just 15 minutes away from the nearest beach – and costs £268 a night. One former guest, Kathryn, ‘would highly recommend the Owl’s Nest to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable escape!’
4. Liviana House, Skopelos, Greece – 361k likes, 93k saves, 98k shares
With over 361,000 likes on TikTok, Liviana House, in Skopelos, Greece was the fourth-most popular Airbnb listing. The two-storey property offers stunning views over the sea from the loft bedroom and living room, as seen above. It also has a balcony looking out onto the harbour. One former guest, Will, said: ‘Lovely house and a top location. Very clean and spacious.’ The property costs £99 a night
3. 100+ Acres, Pool, Lazy River, Slides & More, Beaumont, Texas, USA – 546k likes, 68k saves, 104k shares
At £1,324 a night, this mansion, in Beaumont, Texas, USA, doesn’t come cheap – but with six bedrooms, set across 7,000 square-foot, there’s enough space to split that between 30 people. With over 546,000 likes on TikTok, it’s the most popular Airbnb listing in the States – which is unsurprising, given that the whopping estate has its own cinema (pictured), basketball court and putting green – as well as a huge pool complete with a lazy river (above)
2. Casa en Merida Centro, Mexico – 906k likes, 108k saves, 35k shares
Located in the centre of Mexico’s Merida, this colourful, two-bedroom home has received over 900,000 likes on TikTok. Rated 4,97 on Airbnb, the property costs just £86 a night, and has a private garden with a pool (pictured above). One former guest wrote: ‘This space was perfect. Lots of room to move around and the pool was a perfect escape.’
1. Private Modern Treehouse on Highland Farm, Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada – 1.1m likes, 67k saves, 23k shares
With over one million likes, this modern treehouse in Chilliwack, Canada, was the most popular Airbnb with TikTok users last year. Built at the centre of a Highland cattle farm, with pasture and forest in all directions, guests can switch off and take in the nature, for £249 a night. One former guest, Leah, said her ‘stay at the tree house was nothing short of spectacular’
