Women’s college basketball star Juju Watkins was carried off the court in agony on Monday night after suffering an apparent knee injury.
Watkins and her USC team were facing Mississippi State in the second round of March Madness when she raced to the hoop with the ball, with two defenders guarding her.
The Trojans player was slightly bumped by a defender and her right knee appeared to buckle after planting her leg, sending her tumbling to the ground in extreme pain.
Watkins could be seen writhing on the floor immediately afterwards as her teammates crowded around her.
USC later ruled her out of the game.
Watkins had three points before exiting in the second quarter.
