Aaron Rodgers is reportedly in Pittsburgh for a visit with the Steelers ahead a possible return for the veteran quarterback.
Rodgers has been on the lookout for a new team after it was confirmed that the New York Jets were moving on from the 41-year-old.
On Friday, it was reported by ESPN that Rodgers is visiting the Steelers’ practice facility and meeting with their coaching staff.
It is reported that a deal remains some way off but this is the first time in the NFL offseason that news of Rodgers visiting a team has emerged.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that the quarterback remains in ‘no rush at all’ to decide his future – despite the Vikings opting not to sign Rodgers.
Rather than pursue a deal for the 41-year-old, the Vikings are said to have decided to make J.J. McCarthy their starter next season.
That setback left Rodgers with a dwindling number of possible landing spots with the NFL Draft on the horizon.
It now left the Steelers and New York Giants as his two most likely destinations.
