An influencer has revealed a travel hack that allows you to get the whole row of seats to yourself when flying.
Maddie Borge, who lives in London, embarked on a long overnight flight to Sydney in economy class with Etihad Airways last month.
The content creator, 24, went on a solo trip to Australia but wanted to ensure she would be comfortable on the plane.
Maddie was therefore able to bid on the chance to get the two other seats in her row all to herself.
Etihad has called it the neighbour-free scheme and it allows passengers the choice of a more private flight experience.
They are asked to put in how much money they’d be willing to spend to get the row to themselves and if the plane is not busy, they are then awarded the extra seats
Etihad says travellers can bid to keep adjacent seats empty any time up to 35 hours before departure.
However, they cannot bid on seats at the airport or onboard the plane and those who have been successful will be notified via email.

Maddie was offered to upgrade to business class for almost £900 or spend an extra £200 purchasing the entire row.
In an Instagram video, she explained: ‘It’s basically like business class in economy, I can lie down and sleep and all that.’
But although she was told that she managed to get the seats, the TikToker was confused when her ticket was printed with just one seat on.
Maddie went up to an attendant who informed her that she did indeed win the row and confirmed it at the desk.
She said: ‘The coolest part of this whole thing is because I have the whole row I’m going to choose different seats to sit in for the duration of this 13 hour flight.’
And she certainty took advantage of the luxury of space, as she put her bags underneath the seat in the middle row while being able to fully stretch her legs as she sat by the window to take in the view.
