A trans punk rocker has been slammed after singing deeply offensive lyrics during a rally for Democrat Bernie Sanders in Somers, Wisconsin.
Laura Jane Grace, the transgender frontwoman and guitarist of American punk band Against Me! performed as part of a warm-up act for 83-year-old Vermont Senator on Friday night.
Grace, whose life and career changed dramatically when she came out as a transgender woman in 2012, has been performing with the band since it she founded in 1997 when she was known as Thomas James Gabel. Grace has long been known for her frenetic and abrasive lyrics.
In one song that Grace performed entitled ‘Your God (God’s D***) she asks the question: ‘Does your God have a big fat d***? Cause it feels like he’s f***ing me’.
The song which lasts for a full two minutes pummels listeners with its sick and twisted lyrics as Grace asks, ‘Does he shoot wads of honey and c** twice on Easter Sunday?’
‘Can he c** a shotgun blast and shoot salvation up your a**? Does he chew c*** like bubblegum And give b******* like a vacuum?’
Conservative social media activist Robby Starbuck appeared to be taken aback by the words and described the Sanders’ political party as ‘pure evil’.
‘This is who the Democrats are now. Pure evil. Other lyrics are somehow even more grotesque and anti-Christian. These people are insane,’ Starbuck tweeted.

‘Bernie Sanders is a lunatic and anti-Christian. Yes, this was at Bernie’s rally.’ he wrote.
‘Non voters, independents, Christians who somehow still vote dem and blue dog dems need to see this to understand what Dems are now,’ Starbuck urged.
Many of those viewing the explicit video appeared to agree with Starbuck.
‘Democrats repeatedly get on the wrong side of 80/20 and even 90/10 issues. They have no shame and no self-accountability from within their party, so there’s no hope for reform,’ one one user.
‘I spent much of my life as a moderate dem. It’s hard to express how ashamed and disappointed I am in these people now. What has happened these last few years may not ever be undone. Inexcusable,’ wrote another.
