Fans of Fanta have been disappointed by the brand’s latest beverages, branding them ‘gross’, ‘rotten’ and ‘pure poison’.
In addition to the original Fanta Orange, shoppers in the UK can now get their hands on three new flavours, all of which are described as ‘Zero Sugar’.
But it would seem that Fanta Apple Zero Sugar, Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar and limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar haven’t gone down very well with some of the brand’s fanbase.
While the latter limited edition drink promoted as a ‘tropical twist’ thanks to its banana, peach and pineapple flavours might not sound especially appealing, that isn’t the only one that sent Fanta fans into a spin.
Taking to the Food Finds UK Official Page on Facebook, fizzy drinks lovers didn’t hesitate to let their true feelings about Fanta’s innovative new flavours be known, branding them as ‘rotten’, ‘pure poison’ and ‘trash’.
One person was particularly damning when they wrote: ‘Apple Fanta is rotten’. Another disgruntled customer added: ‘Pure poison’.
While a third wrote: ‘Can we stop with this zero sugar trash’. Someone else posted: ‘The apple Fanta is gross’. And another agreed, simply stating: ‘Gross’.
However, not everyone was disappointed with the latest offerings, with many people excitedly tagging their friends and family members in the comment section of the post.

‘I must get these!’ wrote one eager fan. Another said: ‘Omg raspberry’, while a third asked: ‘Where will they be available?’
But some other Fanta fans made it clear that they would’ve preferred the new flavours if they didn’t fall under the Zero Sugar range.
‘So all soft drinks are becoming sugar free now. At least give an option to customers,’ one complained.
Another wrote: ‘Can we stop with this zero sugar trash,’ while a third echoed this statement, writing: ‘Shame it’s sugar free.’ ‘How about put the sugar back,’ joked a fourth.
The flavours are only available in the Zero Sugar variant, with the Fanta Apple version offering a crisp taste, while Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar delivers a tangy, refreshing experience, according to the brand.
For a tropical twist, limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar offers a mix of banana, peach, and pineapple.

The announcement of the three additions follows the launch of the new and improved taste of Fanta Orange Zero Sugar last year, alongside a new pack design.
Hanna Lauri, Fanta Brand Manager at The Coca‑Cola Company, said: ‘We’re so excited to bring even more variety to people with three new vibrant additions to the Fanta family.
‘Fanta Apple Zero Sugar, Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar, and limited-edition Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar embody our commitment to creating fun, fruity twists that cater to people’s evolving tastes.’
The new Fanta Apple Zero Sugar and Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar are available to purchase now in major retailers across the UK.
Fanta Tutti Frutti Zero Sugar will be available from mid-March for a limited time across the nation in a 250ml can.
And Fanta’s not the only brand to shake things up this season – with Nando’s answering the prayers of their diehard fans with the return of a much-loved sauce.
A trip to the chicken restaurant, which originated in South Africa, isn’t complete without lashings of its famous sauce.
But for the past five years, Nando’s aficionados have complained that their favourite creamy option isn’t available.

However, the chain has now revealed that from 4 February, locations in the UK and Ireland, will relaunch the Creamy Salad Dressing.
The rich and garlicky sauce is said to be a match with most items on the menu, including PERi-Salted chip and spicy rice.
The change comes after Nando’s faced backlash for removing the sauce from restaurants in 2021, with upset fans protesting the decision – and even making a Change.org petition to bring it back.
Nando’s is well known for its PERi-PERi Chicken and sauces with varying spice levels, which range from Lemon & Herb, Medium, Hot, and Extra Hot, plus others.
The chain previously brought back guest spices like Mango & Lime for a limited time, but the return of Creamy Salad Dressing is a permanent change.
