Telling photos of Taylor Swift‘s box at the Super Bowl taken a year apart gave a strong insight into her icy relationship with Blake Lively.
Rumours have been swirling that Blake’s ugly legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni has led to a ‘falling out’ between her and BFF Taylor, 35.
As such, Blake, 37, did not make Taylor’s guest list this year, despite their close display of friendship during last year’s game, which they attended together.
Blake was apparently fine with not attending as she would never want her drama to ‘overshadow’ Taylor and Travis – but the lack of invite is no doubt bound to sting.
Last year, Blake was famously part of Taylor’s Super Bowl squad along with Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice and Keleigh Sperry as they cheered on Travis‘ Kansas City Chiefs from a VIP suite at Allegiant Stadium.

However their gushing display could not look more different this year, with Blake completely missing out on the chance to watch Travis’ side play the Philadelphia Eagles, who beat the Chiefs 40-22.
Instead, Blake was nowhere in sight as Taylor made her grand entrance to New Orleans‘ Caesars Superdome.
Taylor’s collaborator Ice Spice got an invite back this year, along with the Haim sisters Alana, 33, Danielle, 35 and Este, 28.
Rather than cosying up to Blake, Taylor was seen whispering with Alana, who was sat to her right throughout the game.
Stylist and social media influencer Ashley Avignone joined the singer inside the 83,000 seat stadium along with Taylor’s brother Austin and their dad Scott.
Travis’ family had their own star-studded crew in the ultra-exclusive VIP area, with his dad Ed and mom Donna joined by her other son Jason and his wife Kylie.

In his suit, filed last month, Justin said Taylor showed up and made him feel like he ‘needed to comply with Blake’s direction for the script’.
Blake compared herself to Game of Thrones character Khaleesi in a series of text messages to Justin in which she referred to Ryan, 48, and her best friend as her ‘dragons’.
Now it has been claimed Taylor ‘resents’ Blake for ‘calling her one of her dragons and leveraging her name’, with a source claiming to TMZ that she was blindsided over the meeting with Justin.
The source claimed Taylor came to Blake’s apartment when she was told by the actress and had ‘no idea’ that Justin would be there.
The source said Justin was about to leave after the two hour meeting when Taylor walked in and was introduced to him for the ‘first and only time.’
Taylor told Justin how excited she was to see the movie ‘because he was her friend’s boss’ according to the source.
They also claim Taylor believes Blake ‘timed’ her meeting with Justin so she would arrive before he left.
Taylor was also said to be ‘baffled’ by Blake calling her a ‘dragon’ adding: ‘It’s weird to say that about a friend.’
It was further claimed by the source that Taylor has learned Blake has been ‘inappropriately leveraging her name for a long time, like telling a young actress that Taylor ‘cast her,’ which simply did not happen.’

Also on Thursday, numerous sources insisted to Us Weekly that Taylor had ‘no involvement’ in the making of It Ends With Us.
An insider claimed: ‘Taylor has always been Blake’s friend, but Taylor doesn’t have any involvement in the case. She wasn’t part of the movie.
‘Taylor was not a producer on the film and had no creative involvement.’
Another source pointed out that Taylor was busy on her Eras Tour while the film was shooting in 2023 and 2024.
The source added: ‘Taylor never even saw the film or a single scene from it until the movie was in theaters. She is not relevant to the case.’
A different source told the outlet that dragging Taylor into Blake and Justin’s legal battle is ‘unnecessary.’
‘While she and Blake are friends, this case is now a legal matter for the courts to resolve. Dragging Taylor into it is unnecessary and misrepresents what really happened,’ they said.
This comes after insiders claimed Taylor tried to help her close friend Blake ‘tone down’ her ‘ballsy’ nature years before the actress’ legal roller coaster with Justin.
The Gossip Girl alum is currently locked in a bitter battle with her co-star, whom she accused of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her in a bombshell lawsuit last year.
Justin is now countersuing both Blake and her husband Ryan for $400 million, and shocked the world when he dragged Taylor into the explosive legal feud.

According to Justin’s lawsuit, Blake threatened to withhold approval of the film trailer if she did not get extra time working on a cut of the movie with her own personal editor.
He claimed in the suit that the actress threatened to ‘change her mind’ about reaching out to Taylor to secure the use of her hit 2020 track My Tears Ricochet.

An alleged text exchange with a Sony executive read: ‘Blake is calling Taylor to approve the song. She of course just reached out saying she is asking for time with [REDACTED] her editor. We know it was conditional on signing contract – but asking if you will reconsider – so [REDACTED] can release this trailer and Blake does not change her me re calling Taylor Swift.’
Justin noted that they agreed to her demands in order to move forward as planned. The exchange allegedly took place in May 2024.

Resurfaced interviews showing the actress being ‘rude’ to reporters also went viral on social media.
Blake and Taylor were last pictured together in October on a double date with Deadpool actor Ryan and Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Manhattan.

The outing came two months before she filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department in which she accused Justin of sexual harassment and creating a toxic environment on the set of It Ends with Us.
At the same time, the New York Times released a story based on her legal filing that accused him of orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
Taylor was then pulled into the roller coaster saga when Justin fired back with a stinging counter suit against Blake and Ryan in which he accused the Hollywood couple of conspiring to trash his reputation.
It Ends with Us was a box-office hit, earning $351 million worldwide despite a $25 million budget.
Based on the best-selling novel by Colleen Hoover, no update has been made about an adaptation of the sequel book, It Starts with Us.
Justin, Blake and the NYT have all denied the claims levelled against them.
