Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ty Jerome is the latest addition to a growing list of star athletes’ homes getting burglarized.
TMZ reported that Jerome’s home in Los Angeles was broken into last week and the authorities are on the hunt for the suspects.
The break-in happened around 7.30pm on January 17, per TMZ. The outlet added that the suspects gained entry through a broken glass window.
Cops told TMZ the thieves took a short time after breaking in. They also noted not knowing what – if anything – was taken.
Jerome was away at the time of the burglary as the Cavaliers embarked on a road trip to Indiana, Oklahoma City and Minnesota.
News of Jerome’s house getting broken into came after four Chilean nationals were arrested in connection with the recent burglary of Joe Burrow’s $7.5million home in December.

According to TMZ, the group – who cops reportedly claim were ‘illegally in the country or overstayed their permissions’ – were found with LSU and Bengals gear which is suspected to have been taken from Burrow.
The quarterback became the latest NFL star to be the victim of a burglary in the middle of a game.
Hamilton County (Ohio) sheriffs last month confirmed the break-in in the suburb of Anderson Township, while Burrow was 1,000 miles away – facing the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
The men – identified as Alexander Chavez, Bastian Morales, Jordan Sanchez and Sergio Cabello – were reportedly taken into custody on January 10 following a traffic stop in Ohio.
They are due in court on Tuesday. But, TMZ reports, none is currently facing burglary charges.
That is despite the group being in possession of Husky automatic center punch tools, said to be used regularly by the ‘South American Theft Group’ to ‘break glass and enter into houses.’

Kelce’s $6million mansion was raided by thieves in October with a number of items stolen
According to reports at the time, a bedroom window was shattered at Burrow’s mansion.
It’s claimed that the suspects also had a phone, with cell site data placing it in the area of the Bengals star’s home.
According to TMZ, the men are facing four felony charges, including possessing criminal tools and participation in a criminal gang.
Apart from Burrow and Jerome, Travis Kelce’s home was also burglarized late in 2024.
Kelce’s $6million mansion was raided by thieves in October, with the Super Bowl winner reportedly losing $100,000 in jewelry, $20,000 in cash, his first ever Super Bowl jersey and a watch that has since been found in Rhode Island. They reportedly spent less than 15 minutes inside the property.
Jerome was selected by Phoenix in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft. He spent time with the Thunder and Warriors before signing with the Cavs in 2023. Cleveland are enjoying an incredible season with the best record in the league at 32-4.
