Dave Portnoy fumed over Justin Herbert’s quarterback abilities after an embarrassing performance in the Chargers’ Wild Card loss to Houston on Saturday night.
After being favored to win in H Town, Herbert threw four interceptions, which led the Texans to a 32-12 win, eliminating the Chargers.
In addition to the interceptions, Herbert was sacked four times, which led Portnoy to record and post a furious rant on X.
‘I am so sick of Justin Herbert, people sucking his d***,’ the Barstool Sports chief exclaimed. ‘Making it sound like this kid is a young gun quarterback.’
‘Go back at anything I said, he sucks. I don’t care what tools he has. What is the infatuation with this f***ing guy? He sucked at Oregon, the team got worse,’ he continued.
‘He was supposed to be the No 1 draft pick [and] fell because people watched him and [said], ‘Hey, this guy may f***ing suck.’

Portnoy went on to slam Herbert and his team for blowing their early lead as they folded under Houston’s defense.
‘You know what sucks? Running when it’s six-nothing… You’re dominating the game, you get a turnover at the plus-40, you scramble 20 yards, stop, you throw 40 yards downfield across your body and double coverage pick.’
‘Let the Texans off the mat, not that it mattered because you’re throwing pick sixes every five seconds,’ Portnoy added.
‘But at some point, the media has to stop sucking Justin Herbert’s c**k, I’m sick of it. He stinks,’ he continued.
While his frustrations and disbelief were made clear, Portnoy owned up to betting on the Chargers to win, which may have added to his disappointed reaction.
‘Yes, I bet a s***ton on the Chargers today,’ Portnoy admitted. ‘Shame on me because I also have the Texans to win the Super Bowl, so I’m a loser-loser.
‘Hahaha, laugh at me for betting on Justin Herbert. He is soft. So what if he has good hair? He has bad skin. I do not like him.’
LA’s campaign ended after an 11-6 season saw them finish second in the AFC West.
In his fifth NFL season, Herbert completed 332 of 504 passes for 3,870 yards and 23 touchdowns. He got sacked 41 times, the most in his career.
