Chris Pratt surfaced with his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger on Wednesday – as the Los Angeles wildfires threatened their Pacific Palisades home.
Beginning on Tuesday, the Los Angeles area was struck by its worst windstorms in over a decade, fueling fires that have destroyed thousands of structures and claimed at least five lives over the past three days.
About 130,000 people are under evacuation orders or warnings, as the authorities prepare to send out K-9 units trained to detect human remains in the wreckage.
One blaze in the Pacific Palisades has consumed a number of celebrity homes, including residences owned by Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, James Woods, Miles Teller – and Chris’ first wife Anna Faris.
Katherine, 35, and Chris, 45, own a Pacific Palisades mansion they bought for $15.6 million in 2021, but have not announced whether it survived the inferno.
The couple were seen Wednesday in the celebrity enclave of Montecito in Santa Barbara County, a safe distance from the catastrophe unfolding in Los Angeles.

In spite of the danger to the couple’s home, Chris was able to show evidence of his famed good humor, cracking a smile during his outing with his wife.
That day, he posted a heartfelt Instagram message honoring the efforts of the emergency services, alongside pictures of the fires.
‘Please send prayers and strength tonight to everyone in Los Angeles affected by these devastating fires. Los Angeles is in a state of emergency and over 30,000 have been ordered to evacuate,’ he wrote.
‘Thank you to the brave firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect lives, homes, and wildlife as they battle fast-moving wildfire fueled by fierce winds. You are true heroes, and we are endlessly grateful for your sacrifice and courage. Let’s all come together to support one another during this tough time.’
Katherine, the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver and a scion of the Kennedy family, married Chris in Montecito in 2019.
The pair have since welcomed three children – their daughters Lyla, four, and Eloise, four, as well as a baby son called Ford born this past November.
Chris also co-parents his 12-year-old son Jack Pratt with his ex-wife Anna Faris, whom he married in 2009 and split from in 2017.
Katherine and Chris bought their Pacific Palisades house in 2018 and then listed it for $32 million in 2023 after embarking on a massive renovation.

The overhaul was so comprehensive that the original 2023 listing described the newfangled mansion as having been constructed in 2021.
This past June, it emerged that the couple had slashed the list price by more than $6 million and were asking $25,495,000 for the sprawling estate.
They took the property off the market entirely in October, when Katherine was nearing her due date to deliver her third baby.
‘Katherine is about to have another baby, and they’re going to move once she has the baby. They’re staging the house now and are going to relist it in January or early February,’ an insider informed Realtor.com.
The Pacific Palisades fire destroyed Anna’s eco-friendly home, a property she acquired for an estimated $5 million in 2019 after her split from Chris.
Aerial photos of the wreckage showed that the formerly elegant property had been reduced to ruins, with even the swimming pool empty of water.
Before Anna bought the house, the previous owner had renovated the property to get it an LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
In the effort to do so, the owner added solar-powered utilities and a garage with a Tesla charger, as well as an advanced water filtration-recycling system, according to a report in Architectural Digest.
