Ferne McCann has opened up about the ‘ups and downs’ of her relationship with fiancé Lorri Haines after being forced to hit back at split rumours.
The former TOWIE star, 34, denied claims back in November that she’d parted ways with Lorri, 33, after they’d reportedly had ‘one big blow out over something and nothing’.
And in a new interview, Ferne has told how despite the couple facing ‘tough’ times of late, they are stronger than ever with Ferne looking forward to the New Year ahead.
The TV personality, who is set to make her debut on Dancing On Ice next week, detailed her dismay at the ‘out of the blue’ split rumours as she revealed how the couple strive to make their romance work amid the difficulties of juggling their careers and blended family.
She told OK! magazine of the break-up speculation: ‘My heart sank – I even had family members messaging me and asking what had happened. But we are good. We feel like we have to justify ourselves sometimes because, you know, every couple has their ups and downs.
‘I think this is my first proper relationship and we are juggling so much with businesses and raising our children together; we’re a blended family, with lots of different personalities. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not constantly upbeat and positive, but we’re very much together and doing life together.’

She added of their busy lives: ‘When you’ve got multiple children, it’s a lot. We’re both busy working and it’s like any household, it’s about the moving parts. Sometimes we can be like passing ships if he’s in the office and I’m working – it can be tough.’
Ferne went on to say that she found the speculation on social media difficult as she found herself focusing on the ‘negative comments’, but added that she does have a ‘thick skin’ after years of being in the industry.
She added that it could have been easy for her to feel ‘anxious’ about the split rumours but instead she opted to just ‘park it’ and ‘move forward’.
Last year Ferne admitted that she and fiancé Lorri sleep in separate bedrooms – after confessing they previously sought help from an intimacy coach.
However, Ferne has now confirmed that the couple are ‘back in the same bed’ and have been ‘getting the intimacy back’ in their relationship.
She explained further: ‘You really have to prioritise it when you’ve got children, it’s easy for it to be bottom of the pile. We had a baby and are very busy. But now we prioritise intimacy, and communication is key. You get those rare moments where you can have quality time together.’
Despite getting engaged three years ago, Ferne admitted the pair were in no rush to get married as planning a wedding is a ‘mammoth task’ and she had other things to prioritize during this ‘big year’.
With her Dancing On Ice stint coming up and other work in the pipeline, Ferne emphasised that she doesn’t think she could take the ‘added stress’ of planning a wedding in 2025, suggesting that they may tie the knot in 2026.

Meanwhile, Ferne also hasn’t ruled out adding another child to her brood as she feels like ‘I’m not done’, though for the moment she’s ‘blessed’ with her blended family of five.
The couple share daughter Finty, 16 months, while Ferne is also mother to daughter Sunday, six, from a previous relationship. Lorri also has a son with a former partner.
It comes after Ferne gave fans another glimpse at her sunny Spanish getaway on Thursday as she celebrated the New Year with pal Danielle Armstrong.
The former TOWIE star has jetted abroad with fiancé Lorri and their family to ring in 2025, weeks after the couple were forced to deny claims they’ve split.
In snaps shared on Instagram Stories, Ferne showed off her toned figure in a skintight cream dress as she and Danielle posed together.
Meanwhile Danielle showed off the results of her 3.5 stone weight loss in a brown satin co-ord as the two pals enjoyed a day out in the sunshine.
Making of the most of the sunshine, the two friends posed for a string of glamorous snaps together in their eye-catching looks.
Ferne and Lorri have been joined in Spain by Danielle and her husband Tom Edney and their daughters Orla, four and Una, 17 months.
