Ellen DeGeneres has no plans to apologize to former The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky after she claimed the shamed talk show host made her ‘feel stupid.’
During a recent appearance on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast, Ali got candid about her less than pleasant interactions with the stand up comic, 66, when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010.
The 40-year-old’s comments echoed the floods of claims regarding unfriendly behavior from the star, who was previously famous for repeating her mantra, ‘Be kind to one another.’
The TV host’s career famously plummeted in the wake of accusations about toxic behavior on the set of her eponymous daytime talk show, which aired its last episode on May 26, 2022.
Despite the newest claims of ‘mean’ behavior levied against her, sources have exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that the comedian believes she has ‘said what she needed to say’ about any claims of previous bad behavior.
‘Ellen has decided to not put much care toward Ali’s words because she feels like she has been cancelled already and someone else piling on and saying she wasn’t nice isn’t going to make any difference,’ the insider dished.

The source added that Ellen feels like the reasons why so many of turned against her is nothing new as they continued: ‘People hate Ellen because of her sexual orientation, people hate Ellen because of the attitude she showed towards her staff.
‘She’s out of Hollywood, she’s away from her show, she’s living with the person she loves, and Ellen is not going to stress about it anymore or shed any tears about it.’
The insider noted that the star is focused on being true to herself and not being held back by the past as they stated: ‘Ellen is who Ellen is, she said what she needed to say, and she isn’t going to change, so if you don’t like her, think she treated you wrong, too bad.
‘She’s not going to apologize even if she is in the wrong. She’s had enough.’
DailyMail.com has contacted Ellen’s representatives for comment.
Ellen recently ditched the US for the UK as she continues to move on from the fallout she faced in 2021.
‘She moved away because of all of the fallout from everything. She’s not going to embrace any more drama into the new year,’ the insider concluded.
Ali shared her thoughts about Ellen when host Kaitlyn asked, ‘Did you ever meet Ellen DeGeneres? Was she nice or no?’ to which Ali answered: ‘She made me feel pretty not great.’
The source stated: ‘Ellen has decided to not put much care toward Ali’s words because she feels like she has been cancelled already’
Kaitlyn, 39, sympathized as she responded: ‘I hate that. I’ve heard that so many times.’
Ali then went into further detail about the interaction as she added: ‘It’s not that she was mean, per se, she just made me feel stupid.’
The reality TV star then recalled sitting for an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010, admitting that she had been ‘so excited’ to be on the show.
‘I don’t think she’s a bad person, I just think that sometimes when you do a job like that all day every single day for years, you’re just kind of over it,’ Ali then mused. ‘One, she’s talking to people who are crafted.’
Reflecting on the fact that she was a reality star in comparison to the usual A-list talent, Ali continued: ‘Here I am, this 24-year-old, famous for no reason, [I come] on her show, she’s probably like, “I’ve got to talk to one of these idiots again.”
‘I went on the show and I was dancing, you know how everyone comes out dancing? I was trying to be funny and personable.’
She then noted: ‘Instead of laughing with me, she was laughing at me. You know what I mean? So, I felt really stupid.’
Ali did not share any other specifics about which specific appearance led to her feeling slighted by Ellen.
The TV star appeared on the long-running talk show multiple times due to her stints on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, including an appearance in May 2010 – the same day that her season of The Bachelorette was set to premiere.

During the episode, Ellen tried to get a giddy Ali to confess if she had found love on the show before asking the giggling star, ‘Are you drunk?’
Kaitlyn, who starred on The Bachelorette in 2015, mused: ‘I think the world protected me from ever going on her show because they say, “Don’t meet your heroes,” and she was mine all the time.
‘But I think it would have been really disappointing for me and now I dislike her because of everything I heard from very reliable sources.’
She continued: ‘And again, I’m the same way, where I’m like, I get it if you’ve been doing the same thing and you’re over it, and whatever. I don’t get treating people like s**t, but I get being over it.’

Ellen delved into her persona non grata status on her stand-up special For Your Approval, which was released on Netflix in late September.
The comedian joked that she had been ‘kicked out of show business’ in the special, which featured material about how she has been spending her time since wrapping up her TV show.
Last year, it was revealed that the comedian had ditched the US for the UK to kick off her ‘retirement’ with wife Portia de Rossi.
‘Make no mistake about it. This is Ellen and Portia’s retirement,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘Neither one of them have any projects lined up.’
The insider noted that the former talk show heavyweight has been left juggling far less work following accusations that she fostered a toxic workplace on her show’s set.
‘Ellen really felt she had made her mark on the industry, but that was diminished when she was cancelled over her alleged treatment of her staff,’ the source added. ‘Then to have celebrities call her out one by one was so hurtful.’
