Punch stats have reached Oleksandr Usyk landed a vastly higher percentage than Tyson Fury after beating the Gypsy King in their rematch in Saudi Arabia.
Usyk earned a unanimous points victory with judges scoring the fight 116-112 in the Ukranian’s favour, a verdict slammed by Fury’s team.
The punch stats revealed Fury had thrown more punches in the contest, with 509 to Usyk’s 423.
However, Usyk landed 179 across the 12 rounds compared to 144 by Fury.
Overall Usyk landed 42 per cent of his punches, with Fury way down on 28 per cent.
Usyk became undisputed champion by just a single point in May as he earned a split decision win, but all three judges were clear in their verdict this time.

Fury promptly left the ring after the result was announced having clearly been disappointed that his efforts got very little recognition from the judges.
However, he was caught backstage by reporters and, when asked for his thoughts on the scorecards, the Gypsy King offered a surprise response.
Speaking to Sky Sports Boxing after the fight, he said: ‘I swear to God, I thought I won by three rounds!’
Later, ESPN reported that Fury also said: ‘I thought I won the fight again, I was Larry Holmesed again. I was on the front foot the entire time. When you don’t get the knockout this is what can happen.’
Meanwhile, Usyk appeared bemused when asked if he deserved to get his hand raised before he was confronted by heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois who called for a rematch after losing to the Ukrainian great last year.
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren said he had been left dumbfounded by the judges’ decision.
‘How can Tyson only got four rounds in this fight?’ Warren asked on TNT Sports.
‘It’s impossible. He got four rounds, each judge gave him four rounds, all different rounds.’

Despite leaving the ring quickly, Fury was later caught by reporters backstage and claimed that he felt he’d won the bout ‘by three rounds’
‘He’s very disappointed, as I am as well. But I mean, I’m not saying there’s any bias [but] everybody along the front row there, we all thought is the same.’
‘Nuts. I don’t get it. I’m really, really disappointed with that.’
Warren also revealed that one of three judges ringside had not scored a single round for Fury after the midway point of the fight.
He continued: ‘How can that be? That’s impossible.
‘And same with the other judge here, you give him one round at the last at the last six, and the same here with this guy.
‘It’s crazy. And I’m calm and collected. I’m not screaming and shouting.
‘That is a nonsense. Don’t get me wrong, they both put their heart and soul into it. Both fighters have sacrificed a lot.
‘I know what Tyson went through, what he did for this fight, and I know Usyk had done the same thing.
All you want is a level playing field and a fair crack all the way, and that scoring was not good at all.’
