Meanwhile, Tara and her husband, who she married in 2017, have lately had some property woes.
The footy power couple were embroiled in a council row with their neighbour over privacy fears sparked by a multimillion-dollar renovation in July.
The former Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters star and his Ten Sports presenter wife complained the $3.7million upgrade of the home next door would give their neighbour a direct view of their children’s bedrooms.
The proposed works included a new swimming pool, outdoor deck and landscaping – but Cronk and Rushton expressed concern it would expose their children to prying eyes.
And they warned it would also give their children a clear view of the neighbours’ home in ritzy Georges Heights, with a breathtaking outlook over Sydney Harbour.
‘Privacy is a two-way thing and I’m sure they also will not want our young children staring straight into their living areas from their bedrooms,’ Cronk told the council.
The couple, who married in 2017, have two sons, Lennox and Harley
Cronk and Rushton’s submission was one of just two made in response to the development application. Their main focus was privacy issues, but there were also secondary concerns about power cuts during the development.
‘We note the design of the house orients the doors and windows of the kitchen and dining and living areas on the upper floor to face directly into our property,’ Cronk wrote.
‘As a result we believe there is a direct privacy issue created between the two properties.
The couple were also concerned the renovations could disrupt their electricity supply with the removal of a power pole to bury the cabling underground instead.
Cronk, 41, retired from the NRL in 2019 after appearing in a record three consecutive grand final games.
He now has commentary roles with Fox Sports, as well as a an advisory role with a wealth management firm.
The pair have two sons, Lennox and Harley, and purchased the architecturally designed home in 2022 for $8.75million.
