Angelina Jolie put on a chic display as she attended a screening of her new film, Maria, in London on Saturday.
The Maleficent actress, 49 – who has been promoting the biographical psychological drama film based on opera singer Maria Callas – looked youthful as she discussed her latest project on stage at The Ham Yard Hotel.
Maria – which has already generated Oscars buzz following the trailer’s release – dropped on Netflix on December 11.
For the screening, Angelina dazzled in a black velvet two-piece, featuring trousers and a long-sleeve top.
She paired the look with sleek black court heels and kept her accessories understated.
The star appeared in high spirits as she joined Guy Hendrix Dyas, Massimo Cantini Parrini and Steven Knight on stage.

Also at the screening was Game Of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Nathalie Emmanuel.
Kit looked dapper in a navy suit, while Nathalie wowed in a pale blue embroidered satin two-piece.
It comes after Angelina revealed she ‘nearly fainted’ during filming for Maria.
The actress fully immersed herself in the world of Callas before shooting, taking Italian lessons and studying footage of the iconic opera singer to perfect her graceful posture and lyrical speaking voice.
In the film, Angelina’s opera vocals are blended with real recordings of Callas.
‘When I first started singing, I was faint after almost every time I sang,’ she told USA Today: ‘I just couldn’t quite grasp that my body wasn’t strong enough.
‘It’s like an athlete – it’s one of the most physically demanding things you can do.’
Maria was directed by Pablo Larrain – who is behind other projects such as Jackie (2016) and Spencer (2021).

Along with Jolie, other stars that have been cast in the film include Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
In August, the biopic first premiered during the 81st Venice International Film Festival, where it competed for the Golden Lion.
The movie had limited theatrical release in the United States beginning on November 27 – before it dropped on Netflix the following month on December 11.
The premise of the film is: ‘Maria Callas, the world’s greatest opera singer, lives the last days of her life in 1970s Paris, as she confronts her identity and life,’ per an IMDB synopsis.
During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Angelina opened up about portraying Callas and taking singing lessons for the film.
‘It took many months of singing classes. Months of just getting the singing down and then the Italian classes and then the voice and doing all these things like her. You try to be precise,’ she explained.
‘I would recommend almost every human being take an opera class. To exist and never have sung with your full body as loud as you could possibly sing…’
Jolie continued, ‘It’s something I think we should all feel. It’s scary, and it is rarely asked of us. It’s rarely asked of us in life to be all that we can be or feel all that we feel.’

Two of her children, Maddox, 23, and Pax, 20 – whom she shares with ex Brad Pitt – also helped out on the production.
‘Mad and Pax were on this one. Doing AD [assistant directing] work. They’ve done that quite a few times, and I think that’s good for them.’
‘Pax tends to do stills and he gets brought in, and [director] Pablo was wonderful and recognized that he was good at it,’ she added.
Angelina also revealed the reason why she decided to step back in front of the camera – and explained that she didn’t need to be home as much for her kids.
‘They’re a bit older, getting more independent. I’m less needed and so able to go away for different periods of time.’
She added, ‘And they’re old enough to join me at work. It’s a new season in our lives. I’m very excited for them to be coming into their own more and more every day.’
