Back in June, Hilary talked to Shape and got candid about raising three children and parenthood. ‘I’ve had to get really good at being disappointed in myself,’ she admitted.
‘I think that when you have a baby, you’re just wired to think that you are loaded with all the answers and all of the capability, and we’re still just human beings.’
However, she expressed that motherhood is ‘endlessly rewarding’ and stated, ‘I just love watching my kids form into their own individual unique selves…’

‘I love [parenting] with my husband. I love feeling like hugs and cuddles can make everything better. I love the pressure of being like, “How the f**k are we going to make it through this day?”‘
‘And making it through the day and being like, “I don’t know how everyone is tucked in and fed and happy after all the things we’ve had to do today.”‘
Hilary has also opened up about the way she feels about her body as a mother of three while talking to Women’s Health last year in May.
‘I’m proud of my body. I’m proud that it’s produced three children for me. I’ve gotten to a place of being peaceful with the changes my body has gone through,’ she said.
She arrived at her current state of mind possibly ‘after having Banks,’ she mused, noting that after she and her first husband split up she ‘didn’t even know if I was going to have the opportunity to have another child.’

‘So, being a mom again, maybe. It was a whole mix of things – of being settled and realizing that I’m powerful and talented and smart. All mental things.’
During the same interview she extolled the virtues of therapy, stressing the need to look after her emotional state as well as her physical condition.
‘We bust our a** to get our bodies in shape and to look the best we can. We get facials and Botox and our hair done and highlights and brows and lash lifts and all this s***,’ the A Cinderella Story star revealed.
‘But I want to work on the inside. That’s the most important part of the system.’
