Dax Shepard revealed that he helps shave his daughter, Lincoln’s, legs after she shaved his back for him.
The Hit And Run actor, 49 – who secretly filmed people trying to figure out who his wife Kristen Bell was – opened up about the topic during Monday’s episode his Armchair Expert podcast.
The comedian shares Lincoln, 11, and Delta, nine, with wife Kristen Bell – whom he tied the knot with in 2013.
At one point, Shepard explained, ‘I discovered I had all this back hair from the backlighting of the gym.’
‘I was saying it out loud to my family, and Lincoln said, “Do you want me to shave your back?” Which I think is a dirty job. I would have never asked her to shave my back.’
Dax then continued, ‘But she offered, and I shave her legs for her.’

In regards to how his eldest daughter achieved shaving his back, the actor explained, ‘I sat on the edge of the bathtub, and she shaved my whole back.’
‘And then I collected it to throw it away and I couldn’t help but notice, this is the softest hair I’ve ever felt in my life.’
Shepard humorously remembered, ‘I had the girls feel it, and we all agreed that it’s cashmere. So then Lincoln and I decided that I should start collecting it.’
‘At some point, maybe when I’m 60 or 70, I’ll have enough for a sweater,’ the Employee Of The Month star added.
He also joked that he has taken the bag of hair to set and shared, ‘I brought it and I keep it in this bag now. And as you can see from the amount in it, it’s gonna take a long time.’
Dax has previously opened up about raising his two children with Bell and earlier this year in September, revealed what Lincoln does to make him cry.
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, he got candid about the topic during a game of Fast Five.
When asked what always makes him get emotional and cry, the star admitted, ‘100% when I see – It used to be when I would see Kristen sing.’

‘Which I get to see occasionally. She’ll host a charity event or something and she’ll sing, and every time I think “I can’t believe you can do that. It’s just so incredible.” So I always cry when she sings.’
Shepard added, ‘But now we have an 11-year-old who sings as well, and does musical theater, and now I go and I cry the whole time she’s singing.’
He continued that if Kristen and Lincoln sing together, he also becomes emotional and stated, ‘That’s pretty much a fast-pass to me crying.’
Bell has also discussed parenthood and revealed a special rule that both she and Dax have in the house.
‘We always make up in front of them if anyone gets snarky or frustrated or fights, which we all do,’ the Frozen actress told People back in May.
‘We do not have the makeup, our conflict resolution, be behind closed doors. Even if at dinner, let’s say, one of us is frustrated and is a little snarky and then we go to bed. We’ll apologize to each other the next morning.’
Kristen continued, ‘Then we will apologize and make amends to each other in front of the kids so that they can see how conflict resolution actually happens.’
During Monday’s episode of Armchair Expert, Dax also opened up about Bell and how he helps her when she has depressive ‘slumps.’

‘Kristen has depression, so hers won’t necessarily be incident driven. It’s not like she has a specific thing. She’ll just have a wave of it. She’ll sleep a lot and there’s nothing I can do or nor do I think I should do.’
When she has low days when it comes to mental health, Dax explained that she will be in a ‘slump.’
‘She’s gonna sleep a lot for a while, and then she’s gonna come out of it,’ he said, but then admitted, ‘Now earlier on, that used to scare me. And I was like, “Is this gonna be forever?”‘
However, he now knows, ‘she’s gonna organize for a couple days really, really, intensely, and then she’s gonna sleep a lot for a few days, and then it’s gonna be over.’

Shepard explained what he does to help Kristen during her low days, and said, ‘I will gently [be] like, “Hey, love. Have you checked in with your psychiatrist lately? I’m not saying you need to do anything. Just, like, have you checked in with your psychiatrist?”‘
‘So that’ll be like one thing I can do. It’s evolved because I used to try to fix it,’ the star continued.
‘That’s my nature and I used to try to talk her out of it or tell her what’s good in her life or [make a] gratitude list.’
‘One thing I’ll still do, and she likes this, and it doesn’t trigger [her] feeling judged about being sad, is [saying] let’s go for a walk or let’s go for a hike. Like, just encouraging, let’s go move around.’
