The NFL has ‘no issue’ with players performing the Donald Trump dance while celebrating on the field, it has emerged.
Brock Bowers, Calvin Ridley and Nick Bosa are among the stars to imitate the president-elect in recent weeks but the NFL has no plans to crack down on the craze.
An NFL spokesperson told Front Office Sports: ‘There’s no issue with a celebratory dance such as what took place yesterday or the previous week with the 49ers… it’s up to the networks to cover them as they see fit.’
But while the league isn’t punishing players for the Trump dance, the 49ers’ Bosa was fined nearly $12,000 for sporting a MAGA hat while interrupting a teammate’s on-camera interview. In punishing Bosa, the NFL said he was guilty of violating the league’s rule preventing players from displaying messages on the field.
Bosa, who has also done the Trump dance while celebrating a sack, said it was ‘well worth it’ before he was even fined.

And it’s not just football players showing their support for Trump.
Soccer star Christian Pulisic celebrated a recent goal against Jamaica by performing Trump’s step-less, arm-jerking on-stage dance. Furthermore, LPGA star Charley Hull and the UFC’s Jon Jones have also incorporated the maneuver into various celebrations.
‘A big, big thank you to President Donald Trump for being here tonight,’ Jones said after his knockout win on Saturday in New York before performing Trump’s step-less, arm-jerking stage dance.
Hull, a British golfer, was captured on Sunday mimicking Trump‘s infamous dance move during the final round of an event.
Golf fans loved Hull’s antics with many taking to social media to gush over the World No. 11.
‘Couldn’t love her more,’ one fan professed on X, formerly known as Twitter.

As for Pulisic, this is not the first indication that he’s a conservative.
In 2020, he liked a post from rapper 50 Cent urging people to vote for Trump in the election.
He also liked a post in 2021 that advocated for the shooting of Antifa members.
Pulisic’s celebration on Monday came after the first of his two goals in an emphatic 4-2 win for the Americans in St. Louis.
OutKick founder Clay Travis captioned a clip of the celebration ‘We are so f***ing back’ and mocked ‘woke American soccer fans’ with a popular clip of a girl crying and laughing.
And Fox Soccer analyst Alexi Lalas – who has previously made his right-leaning political views well known – chimed in as well.
‘Pulisic scores. Pulisic does the Trump dance. We’re winning the World Cup…bigly,’ he said on X.
