Alexandra did not publicly share her pregnancy until July, when she was more than six months along.
She hid her baby bump underneath baggy clothes and posted carefully cropped photos on social media, she revealed in a Vogue interview.
In the interview she revealed she had been pregnant before but lost it and was ‘overjoyed’ to be so far along in her second pregnancy.
‘It’s long and complicated, so I don’t want to be too specific,’ she continued. ‘Those kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to explain unless you’ve been through them. I really relate to all the women who have been through those kinds of things in a way that I didn’t understand fully before. It’s very, very painful.’
