Kristin Chenoweth admitted that ‘age is just a number’ when gushing over her 42-year-old husband Josh Bryant.
The Broadway vet, 56 — who recently addressed Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sex trafficking allegations — revealed how her ‘younger’ husband courted her and how she feels about their fourteen year age gap during an interview with The View on Tuesday.
Recalling their 2016 meeting she said: ‘My niece went to Oklahoma University and his band was playing and she loved them, so she hired them to do her wedding. I showed up to sing with this band I’ve never met. They were called Backroad Anthem at the time. And I look at the band and I looked at Josh and I thought, “Who that? He’s so cute!’
She was intrigued by Bryant, saying, ‘He’s a little younger than me, but I think age is just a number.’
The talented vocalist revealed that she and the musician stayed in touch after her niece’s wedding and he eventually asked to ‘court’ her, leading Kristin to quip: ‘Are you from 1935?’

After asking the blonde where she would be performing next, Josh attended her event in Boone, North Carolina to spend time with her.
‘He said, “Where would you like to eat?” And I had the guts to say Waffle House because I was so hungry and we went… that was it,’ she recalled. ‘He had me at Waffle House.’
The pair officially began dating in 2018 and got engaged in October 2021 in a lavish proposal on the rooftop of the Rainbow Room in New York City with a with a three-stone halo ring from De Beers Forevermark by Rahaminov.
They tied the knot at a private home in Dallas at a romantic ceremony with a star-studded guest list including David Foster and Katharine McPhee, Kathy Najimy and High School Musical director Kenny Ortega.
Upon accepting his proposal, she told Vogue: ‘I’ve been the runaway bride. Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar.’
Their rehearsal dinner, held at Dallas’ tony restaurant The Capital Grille, featured a bespoke cake from Baskin-Robbins.
Kristin, who is famous for her love of the color pink, opted for a nude-and-pink Pamela Rolland wedding dress she described as ‘simple and elegant.’
Explaining that she ‘didn’t want to wear white,’ she told People at the time: ‘I never thought I’d get married, so I went very nontraditional with the gown. I love it.’
Josh and Kristin, who are both devout Christians, exchanged ‘a form of traditional vows’ — ‘But I’m not saying: ‘Obey!” she laughed.
