Comedian Rob Schneider has said he feels ’emboldened’ after being blacklisted by Hollywood for publicly sharing his views on subjects such as the US election and the Covid-19 vaccine.
The controversial actor, who was recently blasted over his tribute to NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo, has not shied away from showing his support for political figures such as Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and has claimed that cancel culture is ruining the world of comedy.
During an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, when asked if it feels like he’s been blacklisted, Rob, 60, replied: ‘Yes. Hollywood doesn’t want any controversy at all because they don’t make decisions based on what the best movie is, they make decisions on something much more arbitrary.
‘The decisions that the executives make is based on “what will delay my inevitable firing the longest?” and if they work with somebody like me who’s outspoken, they might get fired. So I understand it, but at the same time, I think people will come around,’ the Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo actor claimed.
Rob, who recently opened up about his ‘beautiful’ friendship with Adam Sandler, then said: ‘Once they attack you and you survive, you feel emboldened because it’s like, “you didn’t destroy me,” you just felt like you got burned, but you’re still intact.’

The actor has appeared in many popular films over the years, including 2002’s The Hot Chick with Anna Faris
Father-of-three Rob has made no secret of the fact that he is voting Republican in the upcoming US presidential election and has labeled Democrat nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, a Marxist.
‘I’m voting for Trump,’ the actor stated. ‘The Democrats aren’t for anything. They’re against any limit on abortions, they’re depending on people to hate Donald Trump more than they love their country, and will they be successful? I hope not, because I love my country more than I hate Donald Trump.’
Sharing his thoughts on Trump, Rob continued: ‘I wouldn’t say [he’s] unhinged, I would say undisciplined. But I will say that he’s got a better team this time and I think he’ll listen to them this time.
‘I don’t think he necessarily had the best people around him because he was manipulated with this Covid tyranny,’ he claimed. ‘I think in November 2019, he knew that there was something happening from China, it was a manipulation happening, but he wasn’t going to allow it to shut down the best economy in the world.’
When asked about the many celebrities who are showing their support for the Democrats, Rob said: ‘I mean, who cares what they think? They’ve been cowed and they’re just doing the safe thing.
‘The Biden Harris administration has proved that they colluded with big tech to silence Americans, who ended up being right, so I’m against censorship, I’m against forever wars, I’m against just letting in 20 million people.
‘I’m all for legal immigration because we need it, we’re not having enough babies, and also it’s good for the country, but let people in who love their country,’ Rob suggested.
‘Our goal is to empower people to see this for what it really is: an attack on Western civilization. Because what happens is they complain, these woke people they’ll complain, they’ll complain they want access and then once you let them in, they want power, and then they’ll take over and then kick you out.
Father-of-three Rob claimed that Hollywood doesn’t want to work with people who are ‘outspoken’
The comedian recently released his controversial new book You Can Do It!: Speak Your Mind, America
‘And it’s happening all over. It’s happening in the military, it’s happening in schools, it’s happening in politics,’ he said, before adding: ‘You have a Marxist that’s running for President.’
‘I hope if Trump wins, that Bobby Kennedy will be in the administration to be able to help with the chronic illness that they have in America. That’s more important to me than worrying am I gonna get movies from Disney ever again.’
Rob admitted that he did ‘feel nervous’ about writing his memoir but was determined to use his platform and share his thoughts on certain topics.
The book begins with some of Rob’s family history and includes anecdotes about his time working on Saturday Night Live – as well as alongside Adam, 58, – but he also urges Americans to vigorously defend their First Amendment rights as he fears there’s a danger that freedom of speech may be eradicated altogether.
‘This book was important for me, I had to get it out,’ he explained. ‘And if people want to listen to it, if they want to read it, I want them to just let that be an opening.
‘It’s not a complete technological book about protesting or about freedom of speech. What it is, it’s an opening, it’s a door, and if they want to go further, they can.’
